An extraordinary living landscape

Wild by nature.

Managed without sprays for more than thirty years, the organic estate has become a refuge for wildlife and native chalkland plants.

Barn owls, ravens, peregrine falcons, turtle doves and cuckoos share the landscape with roe and fallow deer. Wildflowers include early purple, pyramidal and bee orchids, bird’s-foot trefoil and yellow rattle. Seventeen butterfly species have been recorded, including the rare purple emperor, supported by abundant willow.

The estate offers access to an extensive network of walking and riding trails through the surrounding countryside.
